Welcome to our Children's Centre Blog!
We are going to try and blog every week about what's happening in the Centre and in our local community.
So here goes.
Our blog will be done by different members of staff so you can get to know them better and later in the year we will be doing a bit of 'day in the life of' so you can see what our staff get up to on a daily basis.
For now I'll just bring you up to date with what's been happening over the summer.
'Linaker on Tour', as some of our staff like to call our summer activities, has now finished and was probably the most succesful summer we have had. On average 100-150 families attended our POP Up Children's Centre Events in the park. Thank you to all the families who provided feedback. It's really great to hear your views.
Also, a big thank you to the families who accessed Aim High Provision at the Centre over the summer.
Your comments and thanks really do make us all feel appreciated and as a manager its lovely to be able to share your comments with the Local Authority who fund the project so they can see what a difference it makes to you.
Its great to see everyone back after the summer and I am sure you will notice a few changes. The building has undergone some refurbishment and is looking much brighter. There is still some work to be done but it will be finished soon.
We have revamped some of our activities and are introducing some new ones so don't forget to call in and see whats happening.
We are also introducing Parent Talk to the Centre: This will replace our Parents Forum.
If you want to know more see the Parents Board or pick up a leaflet.
After a mad, mad busy summer all our activities and services have now returned to normal so we look forward to seeing everyone at all our centres.
Thats all for now
